It's that time again. Buckle up and get ready for a crazy couple of months. Hopefully with it being shown at 10pm now, I'll be able to catch them on Wednesday nights. So go ahead, catch the episode and then come and talk about the return. Also, I won't be able to catch a lot of the episode before, so if you see it and learn anything new about the island, please share!

Not a fantastic episode, but things happened and it was good after a long break.
- did the people actually kill Juliet's ex?
- Why was Juliet brought to the island? for what purpose? she impreginated a male mouse and her sister who I'm guessing couldn't have had a baby, maybe because she didn't have a uterus or something.
- and what was with the womb of a 23 year old looking like a 65 year old?
- Here's a theory I heard- that Juliet taught Alex to be independent and rebel. Something she knew she couldn't.
- Karl's room #23. "God loves you like he loved Jacob" or something to that effect. Obvious Romans 9, I will have mercy upon who I will have mercy.
- Jack finds out that Ben promised to get Juliet off the island too.... Fat chance either of them gets off. Ben will have revenge on Juliet and Jack will have to save her or something.
- I'm glad "roid rage" Danny got offed. he just didn't make any sense.
The review episode before the new episode offered up answers to some uncertainties we've kicked around.
1. Sun DID have a full-blown affair with Mr. Hotelman and doesn't know who the father of her baby is.
2. Kate is in love with Jack, but attracted to the "bad-boy", which has been the story of her life for the past several years.
3. Jack loves Kate, and selflessly wants to protect her.
[This was info from the producers.]
Last night's NEW episode observations:
1. Kate still has a mean right hook.
2. Kate can be MORE ruthless than Sawyer.
3. Juliet has become slightly more self-affirmative in the three years she has been on the island. She is just as much a captive as Jack - a bond? [even after he "ratted" on her?]
4.Relief that angry-man is dead.
5. Exactly WHY would a 23 year old DESIRE a 65 year old uterus? The advantage of this is...?
6. Beth better watch out for recruiters from Portland! [And be very, very careful NOT to mention that she can't take the job unless her mother gets run over by a bus!]
i loved the episode last night...it was stange but good.i do not think that juliet had to kill that guy.ashily said that they are only going to have the show on for 2 more years..so they have to start answering things.i am starting to wonder if walt and his dad are ever going to come back.they have to come back..because they are in the credits.this is the first episode that i realy like...so far they have not been that great.i forget that the others can do all that weird stuff..like..the whispering in the jungle.i got use to them.another thing that i learned last nigh was that juliet does want ben dead..but she does NOT want anyone to know...so that means she is probily the onily one who wants to get of the island.you can never tell though.
We loved the bus- we both jumped.
Jillian thought that that "Jacob" was the head- Ben mentioned that he was nothing compared to the guy in charge.
Maybe be in control of reproduction is central- to alllow those who can't bear children to conceive and to shut the womb on those who can (23 y old womb looking 65).
Interesting that on the island Juliet was cool calm and collected- a leader- prior to the island she was an emotional mess.
Will Jack be Juliet's Romeo?
I thought is was the best one yet this year! the first episodes back inthe fall were good but this one kind of lead into a whole other realm. Ethan he has a major role in this whole things. Is he going to be in more of the memories?
Yes! They did kill her ex. Didn't you see the smirk on his face when she said that? I knew that one was coming, just not when it happened. It did make me jump when he was hit. Who would be going that fast on the corner of the road? (I think it was at a corner) and then why would they be in the morgue if they didn't have anything to do with it?
Ben is Alex's dad. Did anyone see that coming? that means that Roussou is his wife! hmm...wierd!
The brian washing thing did something to Sawyer. Did you see how mesmorized he was when he was watching it. They showed the verses when he was looking at it.
I really thought that Ben would die when he hit the artery. I thought that he would be blamed for doing it on purpose and then he would have been the real bad guy.
Why did Juliet turn on Sawyer in the OR? was she just covering herself? Or did she really change her mind when push came to shove?
Just a few random thoughts. Where is the discussion people?? :)
1. i just found out that Walt and Michael will be back in season 4 apparently.
2. I really don't think that Ben is Alex's biological dad. I think she was kidnapped. We know that crazy french chick came to the island and Ben's been there his whole life.
3. here's an interesting theory- the island is slowly making everyone worse. Ben got the tumor, that 26 year old with a 75 year old womb... The women are becoming barren and they brought Juliet to help them. In the mean time, they kidnap children and brainwash them (like Karl). Unfortunately, Juliet hasn't been helping the cause, and has infused an idea of independence in Alex, who convinced Karl to rebel.
4. I don't really doubt that Jacob was somehow responsible for the death of Juliet's ex, but did they just wait for him to step into the road. there's no way they could predict when he was going to step out into the road.
5. Is Jacob the one above Ben?
6. kate's an idiot.
Yeah, I feel pretty certain Dharma offed her husband with the bus. Dad doesn't think it would be possible for them to have timed such a thing - but Dharma has shown us exactly how manipulative they can be. And Jen is right, it would have been just too, too convenient to have them show up at the morgue, if they hadn't been involved. [Although I would have thought it would have been better to wait a few days - but that takes extra scenes. - and Ethan & the recruiter looked creepy!]
I think I heard the show plans to end after 3 more years in an interview with the guy who plays Sawyer. He said he hoped his character would survive until the end - that it wouldn't be the same show w/o Sawyer - which is true. But he hoped the character would die at the very end - after doing something to totally redeem himself. The producers brought out the whole thing of redemption and 2nd chances and people being given the opportunity to do things over [e.g. Charlie having the opportunity to get back on drugs, but choosing to throw them out to sea.]
I still think it's significant that Kate, who has spent her entire adult life running, absolutely did not want to run when Jack told her to escape. That's got to be a big breakthrough for her. I say this whole Sawyer thing is just a flash in the pan... ;)
Did you catch this? Mittleos Bioscience was the recruiter - Mittleos is an anagram for
"Lost Time"
Did anyone else think that Juliet strongly resembled Penelope? For a minute I thought they were the same person. Am I wrong here?
Oh... and the name "Penelope" - shades of Homer's Oddysey! Which means Desmond will finally make it home.
Did you guys catch the comment that Desmond said in the previews for upcoming episodes? That someone will have to die, and since he can tell the future, someone will be leaving us...but who?
Nikki- yeah, i had heard that in some past ads leading up to the second half. Because they apparently know that the show is going to end next year, most everyone is up to be killed off. even the actors don't know who will last. that'll make it interesting.
One interesting theory I heard: Remember when Ben took Kate to the breakfast on the beach and then she came back and she was all scratched up around the wrists? There is a gap of time there and we don't know what happened. I heard the theory that maybe she was impreginated by the 'others' like Juliet did to her sister. Maybe she didn't know what they were doing at the time, but she obviously fought something. Maybe she'll think that she has Sawyer's baby. Or maybe she knew that she was being impreginated and then purposely had sex with Sawyer to cover it. so people wouldn't know the baby was from the 'others'.
Ben did tell her that the next two weeks would be very difficult...
