Ok, here's the story. I didn't see last nights episode. My friends and I used to play basketball every wednesday night, and we hadn't been doing it for a long time. Well, I'm really in need of exercise and movement so I couldn't in good conscience say, I can't go because I want to watch a TV show. I hate it when people say stuff like that. BUT, I did have a friend tape it for me and i'm going to pick it up today and watch it today. unfortunately, the little lady had the tv on in the background this morning as she did some work at home and they said who died on the news. (i know, we've reached the day where who dies on a TV show makes the news) so she called me right away all upset that she knows. but she didnt tell me and i'm avoiding all media today until I watch it.
but you can put what you think/observed/believe/whatever here and I won't look at it until I watch the episode!

ok, well, we watched the episode last night and i'm pretty proud that I figured it out ahead of time. it doesn't hurt that i heard that actress on the radio and saw that she was in movies so I figured if she was doing films she could be the one to go. apparently in real life she wanted to leave the show so she could do movies. may proove to be a poor decision.
i'm excited about next weeks episode. we get to see a two hour special on the other group. this will be especially good for those that haven't seen past episodes.
i guess we learned that the two groups were in fact on the same island. I'd like to see a map of this island to see how the layout would be since charlie and sayid could run across in an afternoon, but this other group took almost a couple days.
and now Locke knows that Charlie has drugs again since he was the one who originally found the statues.
no jack or kate this week... wonder what they were doing...
so Jen, you were dying to discuss it, now where'd you go?
It's kind of annoying that they kill her off just after you get to know her background and start liking her.
So what is the deal with the kid being able to appear and vanish- it is a trick of the creatures on the island- they mess with what people see?
I think Locke is more than a carboard box maker- have they addressed that any?
Ooooh, an idea...you know how he is so competent and able, yet when they showed his life before the crash he was a handicapped loser? Maybe...that was just a cover and he was really an undercover operative or something. (That was one of the few first season episodes I saw. I can't remember - did they show him disabled when he was alone, away from people?)
hahahahaha, ok mom, a little too X-Filesish there. no, he was paralyzed, sincerely. He had trained for a safari thing in Australia and was told he couldn't do it once he got there. but, yeah, there's something in the past where he learned to do that stuff that they aren't telling us yet.
as far as Shannon goes, I'm glad she's gone. I don't think i could have handled Sayid chasing her around like he was for too long. For like the first 40 days she was just sitting on the beach getting a tan and not helping. so she tried to fix her image at the end. so what. she was still whiny and annoying.
as far as Walt appearing and disappearing. i don't think its him so much him, but an emination of him. Jack was seeing his dad for an early episode. but he knew he was dead. Maybe Walt is dead. and whenever he has appeared he hasn't exactly spoken english. and this time he was trying to help her to be quiet because the other group was near and 'hot lips' was going to shoot her. it'll be interesting to see how Sayid treats 'hot lips'. or how she reacts to everyone else.
maybe they'll bring the others' wrath like that had for some reason been largely absent from the main group.

I agree I am glad that Shannon is gone. She didn't add anything to the show. Other that a pretty face!

Walt, yeah there is nothing that you can understand when you hear him other than shh... I think that it is a n image of him and that he is trying to help them. Maybe they took him and brainwashed him? I am not too sure...
The teddy bear? what about that? did you see on the previews the little boy that was taken? One from the other group? is he now one of the "others" Who's kid is he? I am thinking that he is Hot lips kid. any thoughts on that?
What is going to appen to Rose's husband? Now that we know they are both alive and well... something is going ot happen to them. what else? I am sure that I will think of more but, right now.... this is all that I am able to jot down!
if that was 'hot lips' kid, that would imply that she deceived some man into bed with her and that is highly implausible.
as far as Rose's husband, he was looking pretty shaky for awhile there. i think it will be a touching reunion in a couple weeks. they'll probably show something about him having to deal with the loss of his wife next week. wouldn't that be hilarious if he totally thought she was a goner and moved on to another old lady in the other group. woohoo...tension...
they didn't brainwash Walt. there wasn't that much time to do that. and its not a real person that people are seeing, since he can appear and then disappear suddenly.
From the little I've seen...I agree about Walt being some kind of image. He appeared and disappeared like Jack's father did. I remember when I saw the first few episodes I was convinced that no one really "died" on the island. Maybe none of the "dead" characters are truly gone. (That would be a good back-up for any actors who leave to do other projects, which subsequently fail, and they want to get back onto the show! Every actor's insurance dream!)
disappearing acts... it is just too weird. I think that they some sort on images but... how do they do it? The other walk so silently in the jungle. Could be they have taken over the bodies as a "host"?
next week will be great! I can't wait...

so this 'extended episode' is still only an hour.... so is it going to be a two week special?
the wife and I were watching football and saw an ad for Lost again and noticed the teddy bear on the beach when the new group comes onto land... the same teddy bear being carried by one of the 'others'.
Does this mean the teddy bear is an alien who is connected secretly to the US Government, and there's a conspiracy, and Mulder is trying to figure it out, and Scully thinks it's cultic worship...kidding...just kidding...boy, I miss that show...
Somehow, the "others" must be tied into the "doomsday" bunker. The very lonely man they found in there had expected everyone to be sick, infected by something, right? What are the chances of those being two completely separate storylines?
yeah, there's a good chance the 'others' may be the infected people. that's probably why he was so armed with all those guns and was willing to shoot not ordinarily imposing people.
