Lost: 3.6- I Do- Kate-centric

It seems like people are slowly losing interest... I know I haven't been as sold on this season and I probably won't get around to seeing this one until Sunday with a Jr High event Friday night and a big High School Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday. But until then, drop off your comments on the first half season finale. That's sounds so stupid. How can they have two finales in one season? But, this is it for lost for a few months. I think its a big mistake because they already seem to be losing interest and a three month break won't help.

I finally stayed awake for a 9 pm show!!! I thought the "fall finale" was great. I almost couldn't stand to watch it- I thought Sawyer was going to be shot and was about to get mad. The part when Kate is with Nathan Fillian's character- heart breaking!!!! Jack watching Kate and Sawyer together- but risks himself to let her run... oh the drama... I almost couldn't take it!

I've really LIKED this season's episodes, though I can easily live without the two new survivor characters - worthless. I would rather see more of the regular cast. Juliet is a good new character though.

I think the backstory concerning Kate's marriage to a "good guy" was to demonstrate that she thinks Jack is too good for her...that Sawyer is more her type. Honestly...when Jack and Kate saw each other, how they felt about each other was all over their faces. AND Kate didn't tell Sawyer she loved him, though she obviously does care for him. Sawyer on the other hand seems to be truly smitten. And my heart broke when Jack saw them together on the monitor!

I thought it was funny that Jack was only interested in saving Kate, not Sawyer. It was "Kate...run", with no mention of Sawyer. Will he be shot? I don't think it would be as good a show without him. I do think he will have his heart broken. The "triangle" ain't over yet.

I'm confused about the intercom. Jack heard the voice of Danielle's daughter...but it looked like he was SUPPOSED to find the monitor room and see Sawyer and Kate together. And Benry was right there as if he was waiting for him.

Conjecture: Is there a tunnel between the two islands? Is it possible it IS just one island connected by a narrow isthmus that Sawyer couldn't see from the top of the hill?

Honestly I think this was the best one this season too...

And I think they are all on the same island. The one that he showed to Sawyer was on ein the distane to keep him from running...they know he won't try to run if he "can't get there from here" Rmember they were all on the island when they showed the plan crash and they were there in a short period of time, also the boat was going around the island. And Colleen was shot on the boat off the island! (just a side note)

Did Kate kill her husband? or just drug him so she could get away, I missed what she said when he fell over...??

OK, overall a great episode but I do think they are going to lose a big chunk of fans due to the l-o-n-g break.

Feb 7 can't wait!

Kate drugged him so no one would think he was involved, resulting in the loss of his job in law enforcement.

I just happened to think about her conversation with the Federal Marshall. He said he would stop looking for her if she did settle down in one place, but he said they both knew she wouldn't be able to stop running - and she did end up running. Then cut to the current time - Jack is telling her to "run" and she responds that she won't leave without him. [take note...no mention of her not leaving without Sawyer!].

Sawyer and Names

As we all know, "Sawyer" is an alias. His real name is "James". He also never calls people by their real names...giving them all nicknames (some of which are quite funny). Does he do this to distance himself from other people? In the East a name MEANS something about the individual. It's quite personal. Kate has started using his REAL name since they've been in captivity. As people call him by his true name his outer mask/shell is being chipped away and we're seeing honest emotions from him.

[This is probably all a residual of my presalvation psych training. ;)]

I just rewatched the episode and caught a couple of things...

Jack and Kate are soooo NOT over. Sawyer was like "comfort food". Jack is "fine dining"! [However, this WILL serve to set Jack and Kate's relationship back a bit!]

The guy who wants to kill Sawyer [just because he is part of the group Sun(who killed his wife, Colleen)belongs to and he wants someone who cares about someone else to suffer like he has - rather a stretch if you ask me, but -hey- he's grieving and is probably not thinkig clearly] - anyway... he said, "Shepard wasn't even on Jacob's list." Who is "Jacob"? Is this the "good people"/"bad people" list?

And did they PURPOSELY put Sawyer and Kate in a situation in which they would "bond"?

Did anyone watch the new show that is filling the time slot? I watched the first hour, but needed to go to bed. Did anyone see the "sneak peek" for the second "new season" of LOST?

Btw, has anyone seen the new show on SciFi called "Heroes"? It comes on Friday nights at 7PM, just before "Doctor Who" [which was very Biblical and scary this week...Beth, don't watch this two-parter!]. I'm not sure what I think of "Heroes" yet, but it has me hooked enough to keep watching! I'm too zonked by Friday night to try to read...so SciFi Channel wins.

1. Heroes is not on Sci-Fi. Its on nbc i think. or cbs.

2. referring to Jack as 'fine dining' is gross and should not be said by my mother.

3. i think that Alex was adopted by Ben. I think when they took her, he took care of her. I also don't think that she knows where she comes from.

4. and I called the fact that you wouldn't know if Sawyer was going to be shot and that Ben would be sitting on the table, potentially able to die.

5. I just didn't know that Jack would do that.

6. He'll being Ben back and Kate will get away. Where to? I don't know.

7. It's good to see John back to what he was doing before.

8. They've rectified some things with this episode, especially with the way that it ended. very much like the first season and some of the second.

9. there's a good chance I will have lost a lot of interest by the time February comes along. And if I'm going to lose interest, then my thought is a lot of people will. meaning: we're probably only looking at one more season, two tops. they're losing steam.

"Heroes" is too on SciFi!! I watch it Fri. nights just before Doctor Who! Maybe there's another show with a similar name on one of the major networks.

I think Kate will run and be helped to escape by Alex...who will reveal a tunnel between the islands or some other way of getting there. I don't think they told Sawyer everything...just enough to con him into not trying to escape. She MUST take Sawyer with her, if he survives. Would they kill him if there was no one to watch who cared? I mean, that was the main point, right? Does that mean Jack will be left alone with The Others? I very much doubt they will give him the sailboat and tell him how to get off the island(s). I'm still not sure Michael has really escaped.

The "fine dining" metaphor was used to contrast with "comfort food". I couldn't mix my metaphors, could I?
